In short

  • The restaurant is responsible for its menu, prices, customer communication and fulfillment of accepted catering orders.
  • Smooth Catering is responsible for providing, securing and supporting the platform according to the agreement.
  • Smooth Catering is not a party to the restaurant's agreement with the end customer.

Service scope

Smooth Catering is a web-based SaaS for catering menus, quote requests, quote review, customer approval, orders, production, customer history, invoice basis and a website widget.

The service is not a POS, accounting system, inventory system, legal advisor or medical/allergen safety guarantee.

Restaurant responsibilities

  • The restaurant is responsible for menu content, prices, VAT, allergen information, dietary assessments, delivery information, customer communication and fulfillment of accepted orders.
  • The restaurant is responsible for its own customer terms, cancellation rules and privacy notices.
  • The restaurant must not enter unnecessary sensitive personal data in menus, customer notes or free-text fields.

Accounts, data and availability

  • Each restaurantId is the ownership boundary for tenant data in the service.
  • The restaurant owns its business and customer content. Smooth Catering may process it to deliver, secure and support the service.
  • The MVP service may change. Planned maintenance, incidents and third-party provider disruptions may affect availability.
  • On termination, export and deletion are handled according to the retention and DPA routine.

Payments and liability

SaaS subscriptions and Stripe Connect are prepared in the product. End-customer payments should go through the restaurant's connected Stripe account when used. Smooth Catering is not a party to the restaurant's catering agreement with the end customer.

These terms are supplemented by the DPA, security appendix, cookie policy and subprocessor list. A written customer agreement takes precedence over these public standard texts if they conflict.
